CURRICULUM VITAE

Feb 11, 2006 Baden Ont.
We will back at The Story Barn in Baden (between Kitchener and Stratford) This is our third show there, it is quite a place. A renovated barn transformed into a intimate little performance space, ideal for us, and a great place to spend an evening. Coffee and cider will be brewing, and considering the date, at least half our evening will be Love Stories.

March 2, 2006 Guelph Public Library
For those of you taken by the whole Storytelling thing, we are presenting a storytelling event/workshop for adults at the Main Branch downtown Guelph.
Come to listen, come to learn or come to determine if it is indeed Library or Libary...

By the way, and this is very cool, one of our songs (Throw Me A Bone) was used as the soundtrack to wee independent film called "Wall Of Fashion" created for a short film contest out of New York City!

Speaking of New York...
Our least musical member, will be heading to the Big Apple for a couple shows:

March 12, 2006
Brad will be telling at a Story Swap with members of the New York City Storytelling Centre in what has been described to us as an "Artist's funky loft downtown".
Who wouldn't want to be at that?

March 14, 2006
The Cornelia Street Cafe in Greenwich Village hosts a monthly Storytelling evening with an open mic and two featured tellers, and this March Brad gets to be featured...hey, if any one is actually reading this, write us and let us know what stories he should tell!

March 15, 2006 - Another NYC date!
If you are in New York  the same week as Brad and the Loft gig isn't your bag and you are too young to go into the village at night, check him out at the Childrens Museum of Manhattan

March 24, 2006 - Hamilton
We've been invited back to the Hammer to do a show at a new place called the Freeway Cafe, but I believe it is spelled FRWY. We are really looking forward to this one. They have this philosophy of the cafe as a "sacred space".  Not home and not work but the third space...to do the other stuff...drink coffee and talk!
Check them out www.frwy.ca

April 22, 2006 - Bridlewood Cafe - Scarborough
This is another church cafe type of thing, we did one in the fall in New Market. It is cool idea, using church spaces for other things...I wonder if I am supposed to preach?

April 28, 2006 - Holguin Cuba
Greg leaves with 22 hand drummers for a ten day tour of Cuba's south east to attend the Romeria de Mayo festival in Holguin. The trip is led by Toronto based Latin percussionist Joaquin Hidalgo, originally from Antilla Cuba, and a teacher of Greg's.
The journey is also led by Soul Drums owners Doug Sole and Paul Bailie.
The group will be attending workshops with Cuban Rumberos (conga players) and Santeria Bata players as well as performing in the festival.
Isn't that cool??? And there's going to be a film too.

April 29, 2006 - The Woolwich Arms - Guelph
This is something we have wanted to do for sometime now. It's not the best room for live music and not the best space for telling stories, but by far it is the best pub in Guelph!  We figure if we fill the place it will be like one giant East Coast Kitchen Party, so come out, bring a friend, have a blast!

May 12, 2006 - WMBC Waterloo
These church gigs are working out great for us!
We will be in Waterloo to do a cafe show at WMBC. It is sort of a celebration to thank those in the church who are contributing to the community.
If you are in the area and want to come out let us know, we will sneak you in as part of Bersche's posse.

May 23, 2006 - Fergus
This is going to be interesting. We are doing a Storytelling workshop for Special Education and Alternative Education teachers. I love the idea of bringing the stories we tell in bars, churches and festivals and telling a bunch of educators that this is what they oughta do...there is something very subversive about this, I just can't quite figure it out.
